Armored Saint -- Hollywood, CA -- March 6th, 2009

What an incredible show!! One of the most amazing concert nights I've ever experienced! I seriously never thought I would be seeing the mighty Saint in a show!!
The best thing about this show was that we had only 2 bands, Death Angel the other one. So both of them played long sets!!
Death Angel came on at 9 o clock. They were really, really awesome. I was rocking out for almost the whole time they played, specially for 'Dethroned', 'Devil Incarnate', 'Sonic Beatdown' and '3rd Floor'. The crowd were totally into it too. The place was packed to capacity. I was really impressed with the whole band, more so with their guitar players. Very good performances and stage presence in general.
Armored Saint came on at around 10 45. Amazing song for the intro 'Reign Of Fire' and followed by the most ultimate 'March Of The Saint'! Having never seen these bands before, those 2 first songs alone were worth the price of the ticket for me. Saint's setlist was really the best I could have asked for.
I got both bands' paper setlists and Saint guitar pick.I also met John Bush and Gonzo Sandovil who passed by while I was standing in line.
A word of thanks to both the bands to take the time out and do a one-off show in my very own LA before heading off to Australia for a tour

Here are the setlists :

Death Angel :
Lord Of Hate
Evil Priest
Buried Alive
Voracious Souls
Dethroned
Carnival Justice
The Ultra-Violence/Seemingly Endless Time
Thrown To The Wolves
Devil Incarnate
Sonic Beatdown
Soulless
Bored
3rd Floor
Kill As One

Armored Saint :
Reign Of Fire
March Of The Saint
Pay Dirt
Warzone
Last Train Home
Book Of Blood
False Alarm
Aftermath
Symbol Of Salvation
Long Before I Die
Chemical Euphoria
--------------------------
Can U Deliver
Mad House

There was a guitar duel between Phil and Jeff as well as a drum solo somewhere in between those songs.

Thanks! I was there but there is no way I would have been able to figure out the complete Death Angel set. And I am thankful I didn't have to suffer 5 shitty pay to play bands first either.

I'm quite excited to hear this new Armored Saint album. I'd definitely go if they toured around here as well.

Here's hoping for a U.S. Tour. Haven't seen AS since 2000.
