EDGUY: North American Tour Dates Announced - Mar. 2, 2009
German melodic metallers EDGUY are headed back to the U.S. and Canada this September to play 18 shows armed with their trademarked unbreakable spirit, unbeatable tongue-in-cheek attitude, and truckloads of talent to back everything up.

Direct support will come from Wisconsin's LUNA MORTIS. Minnesota's EPICUREAN will be openers.

God damn it. They moved to a venue in New York that's not BB Kings, but this one still has fucking VIP tickets. It's the stupidest waste of money ever, yet screws the people smart enough not to buy them. Not to mention it looks like they yet again have shitty tour support.

I'm soooo fucking lucky to have gotten to see them in NYC in September 2004. Not only did they play a lot of great songs they don't play anymore (Piper Never Dies, Key to My Fate, We Don't Need a Hero, Wake Up the King, Chalice of Agony), but Tad Morose opened. Fucking awesome band.

Even though it's 100% bullshit that Edguy has NEVER failed to completely ignore the Eastern US save for like New York, it's whatever. I'm seeing a ton of good shows this year and yeah, Edguy would've been cool but they'll be around again.

They will be around again, and they will skip Florida for the sixth time in six visits to the US.

I'm just happy these dates don't conflict with my fall excursions from California. I've missed the last couple of shows. Then again, since Edguy has moved away from power metal, missed may be the wrong word.

If they stick to the set list they've been doing in Europe thus far, the US tour will be epic.

I'm down, Edguy are definitely a good show. They do always have retarded opening bands though, but then again I can't think of anyone who would be a good fit as support for them anyways. Maybe Slough Feg, that'd kill
