Cradle of Filth -- Worcester, MA -- January 16th, 2009
I don't know Septicflesh at all so I can't help. I also don't like Cradle of Filth at all so I can only post what I remember Dani saying and what a friend of mine (a fan of the band) remembers. I was there to see Satyricon.
Satyricon - 99% sure of order. Repined Bastard Nation Now Diabolical The Wolfpack Commando Black Crow on a Tombstone K.I.N.G. Fuel for Hatred Mother North Cradle of Filth - songs before the encore are NOT in order and may NOT be the full list. The friend I went with doesn't like the last two albums at all so he doesn't know anything from them. The encore is complete and in order. Thank God for the Suffering (it was flashed on the projector a lot so I assume they played it, but I really don't know) Gilded Cunt (definitely the second song) Honey and Sulfur Nymphetamine Dusk and Her Embrace Principle of Evil Made Flesh Shat Out of Hell (Pretty sure, but 100%) The 13th Caesar Under Huntress Moon Cthulu Dawn Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids Her Ghost in the Fog From the Cradle to Enslave Last edited by BrainRotMenacer; 01-17-2009 at 01:53 PM. |

..
Pretty cool setlist. The 4 song encore especially is nice. It looks like a short setlist, but most of the songs are over 6 minutes, so it should add up to pretty much awesomeness.

![]() Was going to go to this show but figured it wasn't worth it since I can't stand CoF. Would have liked to see Septicflesh and Satyricon, though. |

Aha. Yeah, I get that. My parents have a hard time saying no to me for some reason, so that's never been a problem for me. Didn't think about that.

Satyricon put on a good show. Some of the songs that are just merely OK on CD were great live. The Wolfpack was probably the best song out of the whole setlist live and I thought the song was boring when I first heard The Age of Nero. I never saw any of the music videos, promo shots, or recent live footage, so I was a bit surprised to see Satyr looking like Ihsahn with his slicked back, greased hair and button up shirt. The guy puts on an excellent show and he said "I don't want to make any promises, but we would really love to come back sometime in the fall like September or October." I would love to see them headline.
I saw Cradle of Filth last year or late 2007 with GWAR and I think the woman that normally comes with them to sing is gone because the keyboardist was singing. Their drummer was quite awful the last time I saw them, but Friday I noticed he was much better (but he's still no Frost). |

Septicflesh
I don't remember all the songs they played or the order, but they did the following if my memory serves:
Anubis Communion Lovecraft's Death We The Gods Persepolis Virtues of the Beast ...and my memory sucks so I can't remember the rest, and some of those might be wrong, too. I think they only played one track that isn't on Communion. Hopefully both Septicflesh and Satyricon will come back without a crappy headliner so they can play longer sets. 30 and 40 minutes is criminally short for bands of their caliber. |

That is honestly one of the best Cradel sets I've ever seen.

Frost is drumming for Satyricon, right? I guess he got his visa problems worked out?
