Sorry, guys. I really couldn't get into this one. I liked Kreator way back in the "Pleasure to Kill Days" (although I went back and listened to that album recently, and I can't entirely remember why - I obviously had different tastes back then, after all - it *was* over twenty years ago...).

I always thought they sounded a lot like Destruction (another band who has gone completely downhill, IMHO - and I liked them even more than Kreator back in the day).

Just one man's opinion. I just don't find these guys very relevant any more.

Just had a listen again after a while, and I still really like it.

After listening to this album a few more times (maybe more for the sake of posterity than anything else), I have to admit that some of the better riffs have grown on me a bit. There are also some super-lame moments (like the clean vocals at the beginning of “Amok Run” , even though the song really takes off later ), but at least the album is thrashy as hell. High marks for energy / effort.

I still hold this as one of the best albums I've heard this year. IMO the songs have more identity than on EoG, where to me some of the not so great tracks all blend together.
