I've only heard a bit by each band. Mildly impressed by Meshuggah, can't say the same for Cynic. Any recommendations?

I just so happen to not be doing anything at all between 2/3 and 2/5.
Suggestion
If they play anything similar to that, I don't know. I just saw AC/DC so my life will be even more complete than it already is.

Not a huge Meshuggah fan, though I wouldn't mind seeing them. Would love to see Cynic, so hopefully this gets some Texas dates.

I don't give a shit about Meshuggah but if this hits Cincy or Columbus, I'm there for Cynic.

@ mankvill: Get Cynic's new one, Traced in Air. I might eventually move it into my top three or five for the year. It is such a fucking grower.

It so is! I didn't really enjoy it much at first, now I'm obsessed with it, and it's at #2, threatening to take album of the year.


Also super excited for this, even though I don't care about Meshuggah. Check out Cynic's recent live videos on YouTube--they're fucking deadly. Where's my Cynic/Atheist tour!?!
