Nine Inch Nails -- Minneapolis, MN -- November 25th, 2008
Wow. Easily the greatest show I've been to in a long time. Trent and co. dominated every song. The sound was surprisingly good for the Target Center, and the lights/visuals rivaled the Tool concert I attended last year. There was little banter between songs (seeing as they played 30 of them), other than Trent apologizing for the rescheduling of the concert, which was originally set for August 2nd.
The Setlist: 999,999 1,000,000 Letting You Discipline March of the Pigs Head Down The Frail (with "La Mer" teaser at the beginning) The Wretched Closer (with "The Only Time" breakdown) Gave up The Warning The Great Destroyer 5 Ghosts I 17 Ghosts II 19 Ghosts III Piggy The Greater Good Pinion Wish Terrible Lie Survivalism The Big Come Down 31 Ghosts IV Only Down In It Head Like a Hole Encore: Echoplex Reptile The Good Soldier Hurt In This Twilight Highlits of the evening were Reptile, The Big Come Down, and Down In It. My only beef with the set is that they didn't play God Given from Year Zero, but I pretty much got to hear everything else that I wanted. I strongly urge anyone who's interested to catch these guys if they roll by. |

Very much agreed, saw them in Tulsa last Saturday and they were absolutely amazing w/ all of the lights and visuals. My 1st time seeing NIN and I will easily seem them any time. I would have posted the setlist but it looks like that the setlist hasn't changed in the last year and a half...but still amazing stuff.
