If the second half of the album didn't slow down so much, it would have been an amazing album. Everything from the start to the Dio track fucking smokes.

mindcrime ii was just "meh". you really cant say that it sucks, but compared to the first it just feels so forced and second rate. "im american" just doesnt level up to "revolution calling", they tried with the lyrics but the emotion just isnt there.

Mindcrime II was mostly really a sequel to the original lyrically, if you don't automatically compare it to one of the best albums of all time, it does seem better.

I'd agree with this if Murderer? weren't easily my favorite song on the album.

I'm hoping that 'Ryche will not disappoint.

Yeah, I forgot about that one, but after that the only one I'm into is Fear City Slide. The rest is crap. And Murderer? is badass live.

I don't have a problem with it "slowing down" so much as just sucking all around.
I have no problem admitting O:MII was the best thing Ryche have done since Promised Land. I legimately enjoy a few tracks (The Hands, Murder, The Chase, ReArrange You, and Hostage), but 5 solid tracks doesn't justify a 17 track album which is, in essence, a forced, pointless sequel that embarasses one of the greatest albums ever made.

That's pretty much my view. It's not the fact that it slowed down, but it loses my interest every time. I like a few more than 5 tracks. It's half of a great album, but half doesn't make a great album.
