GN'R's Chinese Democracy in November at Best Buy [ RUMOUR ]
First off:
GUNS N' ROSES Road Manager Del James has announced that a new GN'R song called 'If The World' will appear on the soundtrack for Body Of Lies. The movie stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Russel Crowe, and is scheduled to be released in the United States on October 10th. From Rolling Stone: The latest rumors regarding the release of Guns N’ Roses’ Chinese Democracy have been swirling around message boards this week. The first rumor is that the long-awaited album will be released exclusively through Best Buy on November 25th. The source of the multi-tiered rumors is a supposed “vendor convention” that Best Buy had on Wednesday in Dallas, Texas. Reportedly, Guns manager Andy Gould told the 900 employees the news about Chinese Democracy before previewing three songs from the album. Cellphone recordings of the event were later distributed through GNR fan forums. From Billboard.com: Best Buy will be the exclusive retailer for GUNS N' ROSES decade-plus-in-the-making new album Chinese Democracy before year's end, sources close to the situation tell Billboard. Some details of the deal are still being worked out, including the release date.

If this is true (which I will doubt until an official announcement from GNR or Best Buy), it seems Dr. Pepper needs to get ready to give away some soda...

They already are according to their CEO. They've got downloadable vouchers ready to go for people to print and redeem.

Surprised it took that long for someone to recycle this.
Firstly, the old adage which holds true: if you don't care, why are you reading and posting? Secondly, it's bullshit. Not only do Guns N' Roses fans, of which there are still millions, despite what everyone thinks, obviously care, and the more open-minded ones who are capable of getting past the ridiculous "no Slash = no GN'R" frame of mind are actually looking forward to it, since the new songs are excellent, but all those who want to hate GN'R want it come out almost as much, because they want to hear it so they can confirm to everyone how shit they think it is.

Disagree. While it's true that, just like every other major band, including everyone's beloved Iron Maiden, it will shift plenty of units purely on the name (Iron Maiden could write a complete turd of a new album and still sell millions) I don't think it's going to suck. All four new songs played live on the last tour are excellent. I've not heard the new one on Rock Band 2, but I don't need to anymore. When it's out I'll buy it quicker than some loser can regurgitate "who cares".
