Epica -- Miskolc, Hungary -- June 14th, 2008

Part of the Miskolc Classical Music Festival, the 2008 version of their "Opera Rock Show" (2007 was Therion) with the band playing with a full orchestra. The set was split in two - first a classical setlist featuring variations of classical compositions, songs from movie scores, and a song from their Score - An Epic Journey album, and then a regular Epica setlist with the orchestra.

Taken from the www.operarockshow.hu website:

Set 1 (Classical Setlist)
1. Palladium
2. O Fortuna (Orff)
3. Dies Irea (Verdi)
4. Ombra Mai Fu (Handel)
5. 1st Part, New World (Dvorak)
6. Spiderman Medley,
7. Summer 3 (Vivaldi)
8. Montagues & Capulets (Prokovief)
9. Imperial March (Star Wars)
10. Stabat Mater (Pergolesi)
11. Unholy Trinity
12. In The Hall of the Mountain King (Grieg)
13. Pirates of the Caribbean Medley

Set 2 (Epica Setlist)
1. Indigo (Prologue)
2. The Last Crusade (A New Age Dawns, Part I)
3. Sensorium
4. Quietus
5. Chasing the Dragon
6. Feint
7. Never Enough
8. Beyond Belief
9. Cry for the Moon (The Embrace That Smothers, Part IV)
10. Safeguard to Paradise
11. Blank Infinity
12. Living A Lie (The Embrace That Smothers, Part VIII)
13. The Phantom Agony
14. Sancta Terra
15. Illusive Consensus
16. Consign to Oblivion (A New Age Dawns, Part III)

I would have given up multiple limbs to see this show. It's such a shame it was all the way in Hungary.

Great setlist, though. Would have been something to see indeed. Damn.

Moderately off topic, but the one with Therion last year must have been amazing.
