Mayhem Festival -- Camden, NJ -- August 15th, 2008

My friend and I arrived in Camden around 4:30 and hung around in the parking lot drinking beers for about 2 hours. After getting good and drunk, we made our way to the venue to see Machine Head, which was the main band we came for. It was my third time seeing them, and probably the best even though their set was short. They seemed very impressed with the crowd in Camden. Their setlist was:

Clenching The Fists Of Dissent
Struck A Nerve

By the time we made our way from the second stage to the main stage, Dragonforce was playing "Through The Fire And Flames" which was their last song. I'm not really a Dragonforce fan, but I was looking forward to hearing them live, and from what I heard they sounded pretty good. Too bad I missed most of their set. Oh well, I won't lose sleep over it.

This was my second time seeing Disturbed and I was pleasantly surprised. There wasn't anything amazing about their performance, but I don't have anything bad to say either. I rocked out and had a great time, and the rest of the crowd seemed to be doing the same.

Perfect Insanity
Just Stop
Ten Thousand Fists
The Game
Inside The Fire
Down With The Sickness

This was also my second time seeing Slipknot. The sound was amazingly good, way better than the first time I saw them. But for some reason I wasn't really into them. My friend was also about to shit his pants (literally) so we ended up leaving halfway through. Here's the full setlist that was posted in a different thread, but I can only confirm it up through "Psychosocial".

The Blister Exists
Get This
Before I Forget
The Heretic Anthem
People = Shit

MH was fucking amazing. Only worthwhile band on this tour other than Mastodon.

Also, no GA during Mastodon for Camden, wtf?
5/3 Gojira
5/17 Wolves in the Throne Room
8/7 Behemoth
