I'm not excited at all, having missed 1 & 2.

There's just too many damn games I want to play right now and not enough time to play them all.

you dont really need to play #1, its kinda repetetive and the whole game is explained in the sequal anyway. but #2 was one of the best pc games ever released imo, has limitless replay value, and the story was pretty metal in itself.
