Eric Clapton -- London, England -- June 28th, 2008
I was at this show in Hyde Park.
The lineup was: Steve Boyce Band Robert Randolf + his family band Jason Mraz John Mayer Sheryl Crow Eric Clapton Eric Clapton Setlist: 01. Tell The Truth 02. Key To The Highway 03. Hoochie Coochie Man 04. Outside Woman Blues 05. Here But I'm Gone 06. Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad 07. Driftin' 08. Rockin' Chair 09. Motherless Child 10. Travellin' Riverside Blues 11. Running On Faith 12. Motherless Children 13. Little Queen of Spades 14. Before You Accuse Me 15. Wonderful Tonight 16. Layla 17. Cocaine Encore: 18. Crossroads (with Sheryl Crow John Mayer and Robert Randolph) I did enjoy this, although only know a handful or Eric Clapton's songs, I actually knew more of Sheryl Crow's songs. ![]() Steve Boyce Band average, Robert Randolf, different and entertaining Jason Mraz, really enjoyed this mellow acoustic set John Mayer, not my cup of tea, but his music is good Sheryl Crow, highly enjoyable, knew most of the songs Eric Clapton, the show didn't properly light up until Wonderful Tonight, that's when the atmosphere started to get really good. I found myself almost bored through the middle of one song in particular which was extended to 12 minutes, i don't know which because im not highly familiar with Clapton's material. This is the first show I've ever been to in London, and if given the chance I'd go to another. Unfortunately I had a flight back the next night so didn't get to see The Police (who i'd have seen in a gunshot instead).
