The 1980's saw many different music types and artists showing up,and every year had some great albums and concerts in them, but which was your favorite?Post your choice here!
Mine would definitely have to be 1988.Because it was a great year for the glam metal genre (my favorite genre),probably being the height of the whole wave, and of course my two favorite albums of all time where released this year as well.
Albums released in this year that I like in some way or another include:

Savage Amusement-Scorpions
Operation: Mindcrime-Queensryche
Open Up And Say...Ahh!-Poison
Battalions Of Fear-Blind Guardian

In God We Trust-Stryper
Long Cold Winter-Cinderella
Wide Awake In Dreamland-Pat Benatar
Out Of This World-Europe
Winger-Winger
...And Justice For All-Metallica
New Jersey-Bon Jovi
Blow My Fuse-Kix
Keeper Of The Seven Keys,Part 2-Helloween
No Rest For The Wicked-Ozzy Osbourne
Rattle And Hum-U2
G N' R Lies-Guns N' Roses

I will say that 88 was a pretty good year, if for no other reason that every subgenre of metal had something great to offer. Either that or 84.
