So...I'm a little pissed, and not just because they still haven't played anything from the first album, but because tonight was the one night they decided to go on before midnight, and because of my preconceived notions based on the first three times that said otherwise, and me not wanting to stand around waiting in the bar, I ended up missing the first four songs. .

Regardless, these guys were on FIRE tonight! And so was the crowd, in fact "Plant" told us that this was the eighth time they've played and that this was the best crowd by far. Whether or not "In My Time of Dying" was a bonus because of that I don't know.

I must shamefully admit, this was actually my first time hearing "Out On The Tiles" on account that I never felt the need to buy Led Zeppelin III, what with that Gigantic 4 disc box set with 90% of their songs on it. It was actually kinda weird that they "ended" with it, on account of the fact that its not a "Zeppelin hit" and the fact that they've never done an encore three times I've seen them. But they just bolted off the stage before anyone realized what happened. After the encore chants we got Stairway, which makes sense.

Well, I can't say else about these guys that I haven't said already. They're fucking amazing and if you're a Zeppelin fan, you owe it to yourself to see them. It's dirt cheap too. I don't know if this works everywhere, but here all you do is just walk into the bar and pay the cover charge. (No Ticketmaster).

Highlights: In My Time of fucking Dying (FUCKYESFUCKYESFUCKYES), Ten Years Gone, Since I've Been Loving You, Stairway To Heaven, and Ramble On.

Sounds like a damn good set for a tribute band. The bay area Zeppelin tribute band is mysteriously absent, even though we have a Mercyful Fate/King Diamond tribute.
