Cannibal Corpse -- Milwaukee, WI -- December 12th, 2009
I got to the show around 6, Hate Eternal came on at 6:30 and they were really cool. Rutan is a monster on stage and a great guitarist, as was the drummer and bassist/vocalist. There were probably 200 people there for Hate Eternal, and I think they were pretty well-received. They played a short set, 30 minutes and this is what they played...
Bringer of Storms Behold Judas I, Monarch Servant of the Gods Tombeau King of All Kings I may have missed a song, but I'm pretty sure that's everything. Born of Osiris were up next, and the crowd was somewhat rowdy for them. They were better than when I saw them on Summer Slaughter this past summer, but still, I would rather would not have seen them. Unearth were next, they were just like Born of Osiris, except they played longer, their bassist looked like Patrick Dempsey, and one of their guitarists was a giant dick. Part way through the set, they brought someone's kid on stage, and brought out the members of Lazarus AD. Cannibal Corpse was the band I was there for, and like the past two times I saw them, they did not disappoint. I was second from the rail, right in front of Alex. I thought being on the road for most of the year and not having a day off in probably a week or two would have taken its toll on the band, but it didn't. They head banged even harder and took fewer breaks than the last two times. Someone almost spit on Corpsegrinder, so he wasn't too happy about that. I was hoping for different songs this time around, considering they've been playing the same set all year, but whatever. Anyways, here's the setlist... yeah i saw this show when they were in chicago. it was fucking badass. I left right after cannibal though for i only went to see hate eternal and corpse

Nice to see Hate Eternal showed up for your date. They didn't make the Minnesota date and that's the THIRD time they haven't showed up for a Minnesota show for me... aye-yi-yi...

i stuck around for Hatebreed and it was well worth it. Hatebreed and CC both definitely destroyed the crowd. Unearth impressed again as always. First time seeing Hate Eternal and they slayed also.

Unearth set list is very disappointing. No "Giles", "This Glorious Nightmare" or "This Time Was Mine"? Really? In fact, not one song from your best album? Cmon, guys. Seriously?
  I didn't even go to this show, and that just makes me...

Even though I didn't care for Hatebreed, and only saw maybe their first half of the set, it's nice to see they're not playing the same set each night.
