Ministry -- Seattle, WA -- March 29th, 2008
http://blogs.thenewstribune.com/ej/2...with_set_list_
Meshuggah- The Mouth Licking What You've Bled Bleed Electric Red Perpetual Black Second Pravus Rational Gaze Straws Pulled At Random Future Breed Machine Ministry- Let's Go The Dick Song Watch Yourself Life is Good The Last Sucker No W Waiting Worthless Wrong Rio Grande Blood Senor Peligro LiesLiesLies Khyber Pass NWO Just One Fix Theives Roadhouse Blues Just Got Paid Under My Thumb I'd be completely satisfied if Meshuggah sticks to this set and comes back around for a headlining tour, because I feared it would have been much shorter due to the announcement about Thomas Haake's surgery. The Mouth Licking What You've Bled should be replaced with Cyanide without question, but at least the 3 new songs are out of my top 4 choices. Things aren't looking so great for Ministry. So as much as I'd like to hear Roadhouse Blues, I don't think I'll be sticking around too long since I have to be up early Thursday.

Meshuggah should without a doubt keep "The Mouth Licking What You've Bled", yeah more people know 'Cyanide Christ' but personaly I feel 'Mouth' is a better song. Aside from that I wish they took out "Pravus" and played "obZen" but I am going to be happy either way, I just hope for 2 things:
1) They get a set this long at New England Metalfest 2) They come back and do a justly earned headlining set |

It could go either way, but being realistic, that would be the next in line.
If it were up to me, I would go with Concatenation

What an awful tour name.

That ministry setlist is an abortion. Press releases for this tour said it would be a 2.5 hour set spanning their whole career, which this obviously isn't.
Also, both encores are done with only Burton C Bell on vocals, Al can't even be bothered to do vocals on those songs. What a load of toss.

Goddamn, by the terrible feedback I'm hearing I'm glad I'm not a Minstry fan, because as a Meshuggah one I am more than satisfied.
And why is Burton C. Bell singing, Fear Factory isn't playing are they? |

No, Burton sang a song on Ministry's new album, and is billed as a "special guest artist" with Ministry, which apparently means "Al can't be bothered to sing old songs, so we will have someone else do it."

I'm leaving for the show in a couple hours. If the setlist is the same, I'll just leave my review here.

So I'm back.
Same setlist, but it was performed nearly flawless as expected. I was on the rail and ended up with a setlist, my friend got a stick. We only stuck around for the first 4 Ministry songs, which was plenty for me. Not saying that it was bad. It was quite a spectacle, something that I haven't seen many bands pull off. If you don't count cutting heads off rubber costumes, it was better than Gwar.
