Update On Acrassicauda, Heavy Metal From Iraq

The story of Iraqi heavy metal band, Acrassicauda, has been making the rounds for a while now. A couple of weeks ago, a documentary on their story (Heavy Metal In Baghdad) made its European debut at the Berlin Film Festival. The article is a really good read. Check it out.

These guys should change their name to COWPOUNDER. How did I come to this conclusion, you ask?
Well the last part of their name you pronounce "cow-da." To which I thought, "that sounds like Chowda." "Nah, too New Englandish. hmmm, how about, Cow Powder?" "No... Cow POUNDER." I love myself.

Their new music video is pretty fantastic. Not the video itself, but the song. They've cleaned up their sound a lot. Looking forward to their set on Saturday.
