Ozzfest Turning Into One City, Two Day Festival [Rumor]

Ozzfest, the long-running touring metal package, is rumored to be morphing into a two-day "destination festival" in Dallas. There has been no official word yet on what format Ozzfest will take or who will be on the bill.

I didn't know about this but a few friends confirmed the shitstorm that the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Tour created with Ozzfest. I definitely didn't expect this. Then again, Maiden is on my brain right now.

Anyone up for a trip to Dallas?

Going the Lollapalooza route, I see.

I don't think they can pull it off without a stellar line-up, which, given that most of the biggest, hottest bands are already committed to other things this summer, seems unlikely.

Funny how Sharon started the thing by bitching about Lollapalooza, it being about newer bands and money. The circle is complete.
If the lineup is anything like one of the good European festivals, I'm there.
Lets hope this at least leaves room for a good SotU tour this year.
