As far as I know, they're going to be doing another DVD which has Maiden England on it (probably 12 Wasted Years also) and the rest of the documentary.

BTW...I might have complained less as a result of "OMG LIVE AFTER DEATH ON DVD" ecstasy if I didn't get a used VHS copy for my birthday years ago.

That was a good day.

I'm just finishing watching the main concert now. Couldn't be any happier with it. It takes a couple minutes to really get rolling, and a couple songs for Bruce to get it together, but it's game over after that. All I have to say is "Rime of the Ancient Mariner".

I also got the Unholy Alliance DVD, and together they came out to under 30 bucks, coming out of Hot Topic store credit from returned christmas t-shirts.
Slayer, Lamb of God, CoB are all somewhat sloppy, but right now Mastodon and Maiden are as tight and intense as it gets. And who cares about Tom Araya's brother's band, really?

Actually,MTV aired LAD five or six times(when they were about music),last one was in early 1987.

Just got my copy friday of LAD DVD...a bit disappointed with the graphics of the concert itself.
Of course I wasn't expecting HD resolution, but apparently no time was spent in improving the picture quality.
The Ello Texas was cool,it was here in San Antonio...nice!

Well, I finally got around to watching "Live After Death" on the DVD. Even though this is about the 3rd or 4th time I've watched it, I figure I should do so just in case. Here are my thoughts

-One of the reasons I've held "A Real Live Dead One" in higher regard than "Live After Death" is the crowd interaction. Even though I heard LAD first, I still remember the absolute insanity of the crowd yelling out the intro to The Number Of The Beast, the chorus to 2 Minutes To Midnight, and Run To The Hills on ARLDO, whereas that crows on Live After Death just sounds like a bunch of people whistling randomly over and over again. What kind of ignorant shit is that?

-I take back what I said about Janick stealing Adrian's Hallowed Be Thy Name solo. Janick can keep it, because Adrian couldn't even get it right back in 1985. And even Dave was like "meh, I'm just gonna improvise again." I'm beginning to think that Dave and Adrian didn't even play those solos on the studio version of Hallowed Be Thy Name. Are they that fucking difficult to play?

-I can honestly say that no matter how many times its been overplayed, The Trooper should be on every Iron Maiden setlist. Though it'd be nice if Flight Of Icarus would see the light once again.

-Holy shit, Bruce sounds terrible here. I don't even want to imagine how he sounded on the last date of the tour.

-That middle section of "Rime Of The Ancient Mariner" reminded me of how fucking genius that song is.

My only complaint is Bruce sounding pretty terrible. Other than that, cool DVD.

Got it and I love it! The documentary is the best, especially when it's them in Poland.
