Iron Maiden-Live After Death DVD

I just bought it tonight and it pretty fucking awesome. The concert itself is as good as ever and even better sound. I watched probably less than half of the second disc but from what I've seen so far it is really cool. The 'Behind the Iron Curtain' part has little clips between songs showing the guys driving around Eastern Europe. Anyways I would definetely recommend buying this. Best part is I got it for $13.

Anyone else get it yet and if so what do you think?

Don't have it yet, but I will definitely pick it up in the near future. I generally think that the album is a little overrated due to Bruce's lackluster vocals, but the setlist fucking rules and I'd love to see the Powerslave stage set in all its glory.

It's hard to imagine now, but I remember when MTV broadcast a show from the World Slavery Tour. Not sure if it's the same recording as the Live After Death DVD, but it was pretty great.

I have it, I just haven't watched it yet (and truth be told, I want to wait till I actually accomplish some school work this weekend before I do so).

Steve Harris: "Originally [the song Powerslave] was three seperate song ideas, so I told Bruce, just put them all together and make it one long fantastical song."

Sounds like someone deserves a songwriting credit.

Got it on Tuesday (the first day). I'm very happy with it. The LAD concert is fantastic to watch, but a disclaimer for those who have never seen it: The video of LAD is taken from a different night at Long Beach than the audio (or at least majority of audio), so a lot of the bits between tracks and whatnot are completely different than what you're used to hearing at this point. Special features are nice, I'm happy with the quality of everything, but only complaint is that in 2 hours worth of bonus live material, you get a total of ONE song that doesn't appear on Live After Death itself. Way to be boring (again) Maiden.

Well I just finished watching "The History Part 2" and I have mixed feelings about it. I mean on the one hand, it was very cool to watch and I liked how intimate they were about writing Powerslave (its almost as if they're putting out another Classic Albums DVD ) and the tour, but on the other hand, why did they limit this to just Powerslave and Live After Death? They seriously couldn't spend an extra 30 minutes talking about Somewhere In Time & 7th Son? For that matter, why the hell isn't 12 Wasted Years and Maiden England on this? Did we really need 3 near identical setlists from the same fucking tour? I wouldn't complain so much if there were clips of...I don't know, Phantom Of The Opera and Losfer Words? I mean, the previous one in the series did the bands early years and the first four albums, and this next one only talks about two (one if you don't count live albums)? Someone's losing ground here Steve.
