Saw it last night. It was great, the monster ruled, and the way it was shot was awesome. Thumbs up all around.

I dont know. It just seems like, even though there hasnt been one in many years, there are already a good number of giant monster movies out there. And if he got the inspiration from Godzilla and King Kong, I think it would be difficult to move away from the typical giant-monster-ravages-big-city format. I havent seen it, so he may have done a nice job.

This is totally different from any other monster movie, trust me. There's no long scenes of generals trying to figure out how to stop it or anything like that. It's all "found footage" taken from the camera of an ordinary person who was there. You only know as much as the characters do, and once the action starts it doesn't let up. Believe me, it's worth seeing.
