So me and my roommate found a fun thing to do with glow sticks ... break them. But not just any old way. You take a pin and poke it in one side, then pull it out. Sometimes the stuff sprays everywhere, sometimes it just drips out. But either way, after you turn off the lights, it looks like this:






So, the other night we had 5 different colored glow sticks and broke 'em. We got our friend down the hall who is a photographer with a sweet ass camera and knows some cool tricks to come take some pictures. (We also took some pictures playing around with some of the sticks before we broke 'em.)









And my favorite one .... I call Independence Day:

No clean up invovled, just goes into the rug Can't see it during the day, and by the next night, it's not visible in the dark either. We haven't had any stains yet, but we've only done it twice, so if anyone is inclined to try this, I wouldn't recommend doing it on a white or very light colored rug.
