The thing is though, there's some really rare shit on iTunes. For instance: Boogie Down Productions: Criminal Minded is one of the hardest albums to find anywhere ever, yet there it is in the Music Store just waiting to be purchased.

Not to mention every Overkill album.

I just found Criminal Minded on bit torrent in 5 seconds

Most albums (physical copies) can be purchased online if you look around, but if all you want is Mp3's I don't see the point in paying for something you don't actually get to keep. I mean what if your harddrive fails? All that money goes right out the window.

HOOLIGAN!

What's the difference between losing your hard drive and misplacing a CD? The money goes out the window the same. That's a bogus argument.

If you lose a CD you still have it on your hard drive.

Well atleast with a CD you physically have something, with MP3's you just get kilobytes. I think Apple should atleast keep a record of what songs you purchased so if you ever lose them you can re-download at no charge.

Out of my library of 4,660 songs, exactly 2 of them were bought on iTunes.

EDIT: Scratch that, one of them was free
