The Dillinger Escape Plan--Anaheim,CA--May 20th, 2013

Got to the venue around 8:00PM. Didn’t care to see Royal Thunder or The Facleess that much, RT cuz I don’t listen to em much and The Faleceless cuz they do nothing for me live (seen em 3 times and still nada). Ask rjturtle for the set, pretty sure he said RT was cool and during The Faceless the crowd was tame and peeps were just jizzing their pants. When I got there met up Christopher at some dope ass parking spot. We waited outside Chain Reaction and shot the shit for a while The Faceless played. Ya know discussed boobies, physics and math (MANLY THINGS!) Good chat then checked our cars to make sure the spot was legit and piss break at nearby Target(Chain Reaction bathrooms are disgusting)

Finally we went in before TDEP hit the stage. Meet up with rjturtle, chatted for a bit more. Maiden upcoming show was discussed, Overkill to get their own stage Finally the lights dimmed and TDEP were gonna make their grand entrance. Seriously the intro took forever. First it was dark with eerie music playing then it was a light show with pulsing music playing then finally Prancer to start the show. Though it was sold out it only seemed like 75% packed. It was just a gigantic pit throughout the set. Greg and company were just mad men onstage and offstage, crowd surfing and stage diving. For the first half of the set the crowd seemed tame but when they busted out older stuff like When Good Dogs Do Bad things peeps lost it. Stage diving and crowdsurfing really broke out. The best, most chaotic portion was when Sunshine the Werewolf was played, everyone rushed the stage cuz it seemed like Greg demanded it, there must have been 30 peeps onstage from then till like midway of 45% Burnt. Awesome show with great stage presence by TDEP. Couple of notes, the place was fucking hooot, the whole band was shirtless by the end of the night. Also only at a TDEP will ya see blood on the pit floor!
