Just listened to the new Ride The Sky and the new Amorphis last night. Definite contenders, although they're latter-half of '07 albums.

3. Iron Savior - Megatropolis
4. Sabaton - Metalizer
5. Rebellion - Miklagard


other albums i've heard from this year:
Saxon - The Inner Sanctum (good album)
W.A.S.P. - Dominator (Good album)
Megadeth - United Abominations (Great album but not enough to make it to top-5)
U.D.O - Mastercutor (Vendetta is an awsome song but the rest of the album is quite forgettable)
Manowar - Gods of War (More "real" songs and this album could have been a killer, but stills it's a quite good album)
Twilightning - Swinelords (A bit wierd album IMO but still it's enjoyable)
Sonata Arctica - Unia (disappointment)
Ozzy Osbourne - Black Rain (disappointment)


I have missed quite much albums but i will check up these to begin:

What?! Great riffs (different, for a change!), great songs, and Ozzy sounds good. What else did you want from an Ozzy album? (apart from no ballads - Ozzy sucks so much at ballads)
