I am going to have to disagree with both of these statements. The first one just because it is a matter of taste with vocals (and your taste buds are obviously becoming deadened). The second one because Anesthetize absolutely ruled live.

If I had to pick songs that ruled live they would be Blackest Eyes, Trains, The Sound of Musak, Nil Recurring, Anesthetize, Halo, Lightbulb Sun, Sever, and A Smart Kid.

I really have no complaints because the entire show was excellent. However, I was slightly disappointed that we did not get to hear Nil Recurring.

Wow, that's quite surprising, they played that at most of the American shows. Personally I was disapointed they were not playing Normal at all, which is my favorite off the Nil Recurring EP.

I think they were rotating Nil Recurring with another song, maybe Cheating The Polygraph.

Hmm. From what I saw Nil Recurring, Cheating the Polygraph, and What Happens Now? where being played during most shows.

They mixed up the set list a lot on the last leg of the U.S. tour. One of the guys on the PT board actually created a spreadsheet that tracked all of the songs played at each show. I don't have the final copy of it but the one that I have showed that Nil Recurring was only played at half of the shows up to that point. I will have to get a copy of the final version just out of curiosity.

I could see that, its not easy to follow up a band like Witchcraft live, even for Clutch. Witchcraft put on one of the best live performances I've seen this year, I'm talking like top 5.

My list is looking like this for the time being, but there's still plenty of room for shifting. I'm finding that at this point, albums that started out great have lost momentum throughout the year, and albums that at first didn't impress me have opened up and grown on me.

1. Alcest - Souvenirs d'un Autre Monde
2. Deathspell Omega - Fas - Ite, Maledicti, in Ignem Aeternum
3. Tegan and Sara - The Con
4. Ride for Revenge - The King of Snakes
5. Municipal Waste - The Art of Partying
6. Wolves in the Throne Room - Two Hunters
7. Zemial - In Monumentum
8. Darkthrone - F.O.A.D.
9. Neurosis - Given to the Rising
10. Minsk - The Ritual Fires of Abandonment
