Apple Embeds Personal Information Into iTunes Tracks

Source: Google News

Apple is taking some heat in the press over their apparent embedding of personal information into all iTunes purchased tracks. Personally, I expected Apple to watermark these files since their DRM is fairly unrestrictive to the typical user. However, by embedding personal information into the files, you now have another potential outlet for identity theft. Thanks, Apple.

Ars Technica has a great readable writeup on the issue.

Of course, Apple hasn't responded to anyone on the issue.
