Holy balls WITTR & Cormorant would be an amazing show. I can always hope since WITTR is a local band and Cormorant is only down in San Francisco...

Are WITTR still touring? I thought before the tour last April they were saying it would be their last tour for a long time. I'm not complaining at all, they're awesome, just sort of surprised to tell the truth.

How in the hell is it that you and I have never discussed anything? You have some pretty awesome taste in post-metal / sludge there, my friend! I had to shorten your other posts so the size of this one wouldn't get ridiculous, but I had to leave the one intact where you call for the Silver EP and Oceanic in their entirety. That is just too awesome. I would pick those as well. Nicely done, sir.

..and you. You already know how I feel about the stuff you listen to (), but I just had to give you kudos for the Cormorant / Squid / Isis pairing.

Fun fact: The Squid actually played with Isis back in the day. I saw a photo of a tour (or maybe it was just a single show) poster online somewhere.

Are you a fan of either Red Fang or Helms Alee?

They just played a show here a month or two ago, but I was back east, and couldn't make it. If I remember correctly that was their first tour in a while, and it was really short.

I feel like Cormorant can fit on almost any bill, and seeing them with Squid and Isis would probably make me weep during the show.

After a little digging they did back when Squid was based out of Austin. That would have been an amazing show. I'm really excited for Squid to come back to the Bay, hopefully I can catch them a few times.

I hadn't heard about that, but I know they are on a headlining tour in Europe right now. And just before that they did a short west coast tour, as Wine pointed out.

Yeah they're both pretty cool but I'm not the biggest fan of that style of music, I kinda need to be in the mood for it I guess.

Hm. Cool. I remember someone who was really into WITTR urging me to go, and showed me an interview they did shortly before their tour last spring where they said it was going to be their last tour for a long while (seemed to imply a few years, iirc). Not complaining that that changed, though, cause they're awesome.

I'd like to see them come around again soon, because I'm really bummed I missed them.

Thank you very much! I've yet to see Jesu live but Cult of Luna and Isis are powerhouses.
