Thumbs up Ensiferum - One More Magic Potion

Just listened to this new single from the forthcoming Ensiferum album ' Victory Songs. ' The new song One More Magic Potion kicks total ass and the Uriah Heep cover Lady In Black is pretty cool too. I can't wait for the new album, I'm putting on ' Ensiferum ' right now. Any Ensiferum fans on here?

They're pretty awesome, but not 100% consistent. And I didn't realize until recently how much they owe to Children of Bodom for their sound

I really don't hear that much Bodom in their sound at all...

It's something about their sense of melody. Ensiferum goes more epic with it, but Bodom did it first.

Yeah, I mean, don't get me wrong, I like Ensiferum more than Bodom. But there are even exact similarities--there's some Bodom guitar melody that Ensiferum used for a vocal line in Into Battle ("Into battle we ride with Gods by our side...")
