Gigantour 3 (US) Postponed Until January 2008

Source: Dave Himself @ The Megadeth Forums

Buried in a blurb about song titles for Megadeth's next abum...

Gigantour NA will go out in January of 2008, as we are going to be spending most of 2007 trying to get into some of the countries that we have not been in for a while. Of course this means scaling things down so we can revisit, or in the case of South Africa (which I yearn to play), visiting for the first time; and places like Serbia, or Romania again, now that we have made our first impression there.

I missed that part of it the first time around... don't know if you do too.

No word on Sounds yet. SMN is running a rumor that Alice in Chains is headlining Ozzfest but that's old rumor-news really. I don't know about all of you, but bands usually have started leaking already... I haven't hear shit.
Jaco died for our sins so that modern bass players could be free to play more and be heard.

I won't go back to Gigantour unless Dave picks at least half good bands. And I won't go if a bad band is co-headlining again.

Yeah, I'd rather see just Megadeth head out at this point. Although it was cool seeing Opeth and stuff last summer.

I don't see why he picks bands like The Smashup, and Sanctity when he knows no one is really gonna be into them. I know it's probably to get them exposure or whatever but he needs to book two well known good bands instead. I enjoyed Overkill, Arch Enemy, and Megadeth this year but I hope this year all the bands are good.

Gigantour has so much potential with a big name like Megadeth headlining it, it could become better then ozfest, why don't they take advantage of this.
