It's a shame you think so. It's a great movie even if you're watching the inferior 'Love Conquers All' cut.

That's a great way of describing it Did you know De Niro originally wanted to play Jack (the surgeon/torturer) but settled for the role of Tuttle once he was told the role was already taken?

I did not, but that's definitely one of those movie coincidences that makes the overall product so much better! That said, every time I watch Brazil, or any Terry Gilliam picture, I always find the casting one of the most impressive parts. There's always at least one curve ball in each of his films, DeNiro in Brazil, Pitt in Twelve Monkeys etc.!

Did you hear that Bob Hoskins isn't doing films anymore? He was diagnosed with Parkinson's a year or two back, so he's done

If you haven't, you should definitely check out The Long Good Friday. Terrific gangster film.

Started early this evening. Watched 'The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford', then the last episode of 'Once Upon A Time'.

Now watching 'Batman Begins' and 'The Dark Knight'.

The hardest line for Heath Ledger to deliver must have been calling Maggie Gyllenhaal beautiful.

How was that? I've been wanting to see that since it came out, but never got around to it.

Also,

Yeah, I've only just got around to it having had it on DVD for a very long time, just because it's so damn long. It was alright. All of the acting was superb, but it really is too long. The story could have been told about an hour quicker because it's not actually that complicated or involved.
