Plus, any sweeping generalization like that should instantly ring on the ears of anyone with even so much as an elementary school education as extremely close-minded and highly unlikely - if not patently false - by virtue of the fact that it includes everything that has been and everything that ever will be remade. The new one is actually a prequel. Not to say that there won't be a true re-remake down the line But I've heard it's pretty average.
