Yes, My Chemical Romance's new album contains as much scope, power, and pizzaz as Green Day in 2005. They've almost completely dropped the 'emo' music style from their previous albums, and released a mature, strong Rock Opera that will surely sell millions.

Obviously no comparison to any metal band but still better than you'd expect. I'd give them 3.5/10 for live performance because the guys were total idiots except maybe the guitarist.

They supported Muse when i saw them who were amazing. - if that's any consellation.
MCR still suck.

Also when i saw the title to this thread, i thought you meant the new Green Day album!

I've heard it. Such a fun album, and catchy as hell. I wasn't disappointed at all. These guys are much better than most people give them credit for. If you toss out all the bullshit about "They're not punk, they're poseurs, etc." and just take them at face value as a pop-rock band, they're really enjoyable.

The song Black Parade is pretty good. They are kinda like Bullet for My Valentine; very catchy, good musicians, but you are embarassed to like them because of the vocals.

But it is pretty gay that he only sings about this dad ever since he came out of the woodwork.

I find it ironic that Angelripper's user title is the title of an Emperor song, but he/she posts a huge cover of My Chemical Romance
