This was 5th time seeing Mastodon and it was an amazing show. The sound at the Palladium is NEVER good, but it was surprisingly listenable that night (thanks to beers and good earplugs ). A high-energy performance was given by The Don and they looked like they were having a great time. A really solid setlist too with tons of new stuff. Great encore in Hearts Alive which was probably the highlight of the night along with Capillarian Crest. FANTASTIC stuff.

Converge put on a great performance in front of a hometown crowd. Tons of energy. They also debuted 3 new tunes, which were really cool. Psyched for that release in October.

I missed The Bronx, but hearing them from the street made me realize I didn't miss that much.

No, no Ole' Nessie. I was pretty shocked with the lack of material from Remission. I would've loved to have heard some more stuff. I can't believe they're not playing Crusher Destroyer. It's one of their signature songs.

They aren't doing enough from it but they chose well.

Just ran through this whole set in my room, plus Joseph Merrick (because who can listen to Hearts Alive without just finishing the album?)
