I used to like Godsmack.

But they do really sound too much like AIC. I remember the first time I listened to AIC, and this was after I'd already heard all of Godsmack's material that had been released so far (I think it was only around the time of awake), and I was like "Holy shit ".

Ahem. Godsmack, Staind, Disturbed, Nickelback, Shinedown...I don't follow new rock but I've heard stuff from a lot more as well. They have this one vocalist who travels from band to band recording songs under a different name

Yup, that's what I figured *sigh*

Godsmack are WAY different than Staind, Nickelback, and Shinedown, they have much more in common with Disturbed though.
