Boris -- Vancouver, British Columbia -- August 17th, 2014

Boris has a handful of tour dates with Marriages and Master Musician Of Bukakke opening.

I caught last nights gig in Van. This was the best performance ive seen from Boris out of the 3x ive caught them now.

As for the openers, Master Musicians... we're just fine! Sounded like some really spacy post rockish material. 7 guys on stage who all wore costumes, and I wont say like Gwar, but almost kind of out there!

Marriages, is post rock/noise? whatever they want to call it. Ex members of Red Sparowes are in this group. They sounded OK, for a 3 piece but nothing special. Some of the guitar tones we're pretty good though, maybe a listen of the studio material will change my mind.

I think both openers got about 40 minutes each.

Now onto the headliners all the way from Japan. Boris performed the entire new album "Noise" which I think is a fantastic disc to add to their huge catalogue. I quite enjoyed hearing/seeing the new album fleshed out before my eyes.

Pink and Smile material we're added in between the first two tracks of Noise and the rest of the set. Included as the encore for this tour is "VOMITSELF" from Amplifier Worship. Dear lord it might just have been the loudest track ive ever heard live from anyone, even Sunn 0))).

Anyone who can catch Boris anytime soon should do so. It's an experience not to be missed.

I am sorry, I don't have sets for the Openers but here's the BORIS set.

-Melody
-Vanilla
-Pink
-Statement
-Ghost Of Romance
-Heavy Rain
-Taiyo No Baka
-Cosmos
-Angel
-Quicksilver
-Vomitself

Boris was fantastic when i saw them as well. I was very fortunate to see them with The Atlas Moth and SubRosa.

I will admit I am bummed they officially replaced Farewell with Vomitself, although I totally get why they have.
