They did.

I'm just on the bandwagon that Aquaman isn't a good superhero so I wanted an accurate portrayal of how I feel about him.

*of course John got where I was going with it*

And as far as all the superhero/comic book movies. I sincerely don't care. I'll go to the ones that actually spark my interest. But it's the same thing as Teen Mom or Honey Boo Boo or Blood On The Dance Floor, there is no fuck given about them on my end, so it doesn't affect me.

Besides that I just want a new Blade film and a new Hulk film. That's all I ask for in this life.
Power Man and Iron Fist might be good.

I don't know but hopefully Aquaman won't be too lame.

Isn't Aquamans while shtick that he's a lamewad superhero? They should make his movie a comedy. It would work better than trying to take a guy who talks to fish serious.

He pretty much had a lame rep. They made him look cool in the comics, sometimes.
The Robot Chicken where they make fun of him is pretty good.

That's why I made the Rob Schneider references.

Yeah, this is what most folks think about him. It surely doesn't help that there has never been a good portrayal of his character on film (not that there have even been many attempts, come to think of it).

But...I think they could turn this all around if they wanted to. Imagine a guy who could summon the wrath of the sea the way Storm does with the weather, or who could telepathically control ocean beasts such as whales or sharks to do his bidding the way Charles Xavier can. It has potential to be interesting (or at least not to totally suck).

Or...they could just make him the Waterboy of superheroes and be done with it (dual-purpose oceanic / Adam Sandler pun totally intended).

They had that one version of Aquaman that LOOKED badass (with the hook hand and long hair, just looked like a Norse God). Honestly, he can be done well, but if not, MPF knows whats up.

Also, I was just listening to Kevin Smith's "Fatman on Batman" podcast and he was talking to one of the main guys from Marvel who said that Powerman and Ironfist shows will be two seperate series', not one with both of them.

His character design in the Injustice: Gods Among Us game I thought looked kinda cool, and he didn't come across as overtly corny or cheesy in the game's storyline or the side comic either.

Also, lol at how we turned a Marvel thread into a discussion about a semi-popular DC character.

I grew up on Aquaman . Anyone else watch the old Justice League cartoon? Late 80s I think it was, maybe even earlier. The Legion of Doom's headquarters was fvkking legit
