Megadeth -- Denver, CO -- September 16th, 2007

Alright ladies and gentlemen it's time for a trip back in time as I have 3 shows I have not reviewed

In 2007 Megadeth released United Abominations, an album I feel that while it drops off at the end, is one of their underrated albums and I was stoked to see them tour it.

I was a bit surprised that they were playing a smaller theater but I was a fanclub member at the time and because of that my dad and I were allowed to go in first before the general public. The Ogden Theater is a small venue that holds 2500-3000 people and has two levels, and we decided to sit up top on the right hand of the stage

The opening band was in this moment and I don't remember much about them

Megadeth put on a great show and I consider this to be their best out of the 4 times I've seen them, a good mix of new material off UA and the old stuff

Sleepwalker
Take No Prisoners
Wake Up Dead
Skin o' My Teeth
Gears of War
She-Wolf
In My Darkest Hour
Hangar 18
Washington Is Next!
Kick the Chair
A Tout Le Monde
Tornado of Souls
Reckoning Day
Peace Sells
Never Walk Alone... A Call to Arms
Symphony of Destruction
Encore:
Holy Wars... The Punishment Due / Mechanix

I enjoyed it a lot the band was in great form and MegaDave kept his rambles to a minimum; bless my dad he tried to do as well I had invited my roommate from college at the time as he was more of a metal head but he bailed at the last minute

on a side note it is a shame Megadeth has ignored UA in their shows of late; yea UA isn't a gold standard but it has some good shit on it, and it along with Endgame and The System Has Failed should be done a little more. But fuck who am I kidding it's MegaDave, so no chance on that

United Abominations is a great record. The first 5 songs are all killer, as is the re-recorded A Tout Le Monde. The rest of the album is pretty decent as well.

This is a nice trip down memory lane! I saw this tour just a few days later in Milwaulee and was surprised/excited that they were playing a smaller venue (1500-2000). What a show!
