KISS -- Dallas, TX -- July 13th, 2014

Apologizes for my lateness in posting this however I just got back from my vacation in Dallas. I was attending the ScrewAttack Gaming Convention (I could do a whole write up on that as well if anyone's interested) and one of my friends noticed that KISS and Def Leppard was in town the night the con wrapped up.

I had never been in an ampi-theater style venue before and I was impressed that for only 40 dollars for lawn tickets you still got a pretty decent view. I had paid more for worse seats at stadium shows.

DEF LEPPARD
Let It Go
Animal
Foolin'
Love Bites
Let's Get Rocked
Two Steps Behind
Bringin' on the Heartbreak
Switch 625
Hysteria
Rocket
Armageddon It
Pour Some Sugar on Me

Encore:
Rock of Ages
Photograph

I have never been the biggest Def Leppard fan in the world but they were fun to see live. Personal highlights were Let's Get Rocked and Rock of Ages. They had some cool visuals on the screen but other then that they were low on special effects.

KISS
Psycho Circus
Deuce
Shout It Out Loud
War Machine
Hotter Than Hell (With Gene breathing fire)
I Love It Loud
Lick It Up
Bass Solo (With Gene Spitting blood and flying to the top of the stage)
God of Thunder
Hide Your Heart
Cold Gin
Love Gun
Black Diamond
Detroit Rock City
Rock and Roll All Nite

This was my 3rd time seeing this version of KISS and probably the most solid set I've seen. Not opening with King of the Nighttime World was a bit of a bummer but I'll also take Psycho Circus. It was great to hear God of Thunder and Cold Gin again too. All in all it was a really fun night and a great way to wrap up an awesome weekend.

Other than the summertime heat, outdoor amphitheatres aren't too bad. I will be seeing this show in a couple of weeks in Hell, I mean Camden as well as Saratoga Springs, Toronto and Darien Lake. Going to see Kiss in November in Vegas (Judas Priest on the 14th of November then Kiss on the 15th).
