I've always like St Anger since it was the first full Metallica album I heard. I had no idea what they had used to sound like so I had no comparison. Some Kind of Monster, Sweet Amber, Frantic, Unnamed Feeling, some decent riffs! Half assed rant over. Ok set, but I'd switch some of those overplayed songs with something like Fight Fire With Fire Leper Messiah.

The album itself is hard to listen to for me because of the production and that trash can snare; but when I saw them tour in 2003/2004 I heard Frantic, St. Anger and Dirty Window and I thought they sounded great in a live setting. I would love to hear Invisible Kid, Sweet Amber and All Within My Hands live

Yea I understand that, I didnt even realize the production at the time. Looking back now, it might have started my love for sludge and doom with that grainy feel the album has.

Warsaw currently has TDTNC, The Memory Remains, Orion & Ktulu.....To Live Is To Die isn't a million miles away either. Imagine that!

I wish they'd do a St. Anger revisited with solos, audible bass & "normal" drums.

The live DVD with 5.1 audio that came with the album shows how good it could have sounded. I much prefer that version of the album. The remix of Some Kind of Monster sounded pretty good too. I don't hate St. Anger at all (except for Invisible Kid - horrible song).
