I always loved Fixxxer, I think it would be cool in the right context. They've at least played all of the St. Anger songs live in the studio (not at gigs) for the DVD that came with it, but I guess that doesn't count.

When I was in the studio with them the hardest thing for them that they were working on wasn't re-adding the parts on "Four Horsemen" or "No Remorse" that they usually skip live, it was remembering how "Carpe Diem Baby" goes.

The pro shot video of Frayed is up on the tour website (plus some other stuff as per usual).

I think it actually sounded really good. The tempo was slowed down a bit, and Kirk shit all over the solo (pretty terrible really) but everything else about it sounded great.

I know its a pain in the ass to play but hopefully now that they know they can play it, we might see it occasionally.

They won't play it much hereafter. If ever again.

Besides, these request setlists are boring as hell.

They are, but that isn't the band's fault.

True.

Clearly chosen by a festival audience. Anyway, I don't care, I won't see them anyway this year.

Yes, I thought it sounded pretty good. I'm happy with it.

Really pisses me offf how many people are only voting for the hits. You essentially know every song you're gonna get, give 1, MAYBE 2. I didn't think every set would be full of rarities, given that these are from festival goers (as someone already mentioned), but I figured there'd be at least a couple different songs per night. Huge disappointment. I'd planned on going to Heavy MTL no matter what, but seeing these sets, not all that positive I'll go. So far, the requests for that gig are just like all the others. Whiplash, FFWF and TDTNC are on the cusp, and all the rest are exactly like the ones we've already seen.

I'm curious what Whiskey of the Jar was up against if it was vote of the day.

Me either. They're only playing places I don't want to go to.

I'll see them on the new album tour if they play arenas though.

This intrigues me. Mind you, it's a good cover, but it's... a cover.

I wonder how many of their so called fans know that this isn't from them. There's a Metallica t shirt with them words on it too.
