Iced Earth -- Winnipeg, Manitoba -- May 12th, 2014

Plagues of Babylon
Burning Times
Red Baron/Blue Max
If I Could See You
Boiling Point
Vengeance is Mine
My Own Saviour
Watching Over Me
Iced Earth

They were supposed to play Coming Curse before Dystopia, but before the show started the roadies put a piece of tape over it. I suspect they may have run into a curfew or needed to get the hell out of Winnipeg that night.

My opinion: not a great set. Nothing from Stormrider? But, the crowd at the front was into it, so obviously some people liked it, including some pit action on Boiling Point, My Own Saviour, and Democide.

Front house sound was not well mixed. I could barely hear Stu and Troy, so I moved back halfway through.

Yeah, that's a pretty underwhelming set by them. A lot of awesome songs being ignored.

This is the exact set from San Francisco. The band and crew are exhausted, especially Jon. I'm not sure how it was in Winnipeg, but when they played here a couple weeks ago, they rushed through the set. I think they played for about an hour which is pretty unusual for an IE headline set.

The start of the tour had sets that were between 16-18 songs, including longer ones like The Coming Curse and A Question of Heaven, but they've whittled it down and even replaced songs that were 5 minutes or so (Blessed Are You) with shorter ones (Boiling Point). Like I said, a few weeks ago they really seemed like they were going through the motions and just wanted the set to end, which is unfortunate. I've seen Iced Earth 7 times and this last one was by far their weakest performance.

Damn at least you got Boiling Point. My favorite song off of that album.
