Swans -- Washington, DC -- May 14th, 2014

First Swans show of 2014. Not sure how accurate this is, so if anybody went or knows the set, feel free to correct it.

1. To Be Kind
2. A Little God In My Hands
3. Oxygen
4. We Will Survive
5. The Apostate
6. Bring The Sun

We Will Survive? Damn.

Glad to see The Apostate is still on the set, that was incredible live the last time I saw them. Can't wait for their Boston show.

I should be there. Just need to wait until tomorrow's paycheck to confirm it. Look out for the big dude with a Big Lebowski "The Dude" shirt and say hi.

My initial reaction as well. Kind of an odd choice for the older song in the setlist, but a good one nonetheless!

So disappointed that the Toronto show is part of the NXNE fest, they won't be able to do a full set, plus I don't want to buy a $150 pass just to see one band.

How long did the set last? Any crazy extended jams?

Well, I know one of the new ones (A Little God In My Hands) is just over 7 minutes on record. Someone posted a YouTube video of it that clocked in at 18 minutes and 44 seconds. Since they pretty much re-work every song that's played live, it wouldn't surprise me if it's close to 2 hours for the 6 songs. I'll confirm it tomorrow when I see them.

2 hours seems about right for a Swans show. Not to mention Bring the Sun is over 30 minutes on record.

I'll say what up if I spot that shirt.

Looks like it's new material. That's even better in my opinion.
Will be seeing them in Denver in September can't wait. To Be Kind might end up being my AOTY this year
