Black Label Society -- Silver Spring, MD -- May 4th, 2014

Full review

Butcher Babies (had to see them for myself) SUCKED. sorry to say but they are not making things any easier for women in heavy music

Devil You Know - was OK. not great, but not horrible

Down- possibly was better than BLS, def more energetic

BLS- already knew the setlist going in, they were good but could have been way better. so many gripes in the review (above). but it was nice to see them after like 4 years (and with a long set too)

Butcher Babies (7:30?-8) (I heard them start before 7:30, not sure how many songs I missed)
  • I Smell a Massacre
  • The Mirror Never Lies
  • Goliath
  • C8h18 (Gasoline)
  • Jesus Needs More Babies for His War Machine
  • Mr SlowDeath
  • Magnolia Blvd.

The Devil You Know (8:20 -8:47)

  • A New Beginning
  • My Own
  • Embracing The Torture
  • Seven Years Alone
  • A Mind Insane
  • Shut It Down

Down (9:13-10:05)
  • Eyes of the South
  • We Knew Him Well
  • Witchtripper
  • Lifer
  • Lysergik Funeral Procession
  • Hail the Leaf
  • Losing All
  • Stone the Crow
  • Bury Me in Smoke

Black Label Society (10:36- 12)

  • My Dying Time
  • Godspeed Hell Bound
  • Destruction Overdrive
  • The Rose Petalled Garden
  • Heart of Darkness
  • Overlord
  • Damn the Flood
  • Guitar Solo
  • Parade of the Dead
  • Fields of Unforgiveness
  • Angel of Mercy
  • Piano Solo
  • In This River
  • The Blessed Hellride
  • Suicide Messiah
  • Concrete Jungle
  • Stillborn

Ahh the redneck-biker-bro-metal crowd... the only crowd that's worse is the redneck-biker-bro-cockrock crowd.

I definitely agree that Down was better. I was getting anxious to leave during BLS, but ended up staying for the whole thing.

you mean these: http://shop.blacklabelsociety.com/ac...-bls-ring.html ? I don't recall seeing those, but it is possible that they had them on the table. I usually try to be pretty complete about merch :/

The blood in Jose Mangdens body didn't what to do as it was needed to explode out his head and fill his groin at the same time. So instead he just popped another bottle of speed and continued bouncing off the walls of Sirius XM's studio.
