Yup. If anyone challenges it they'll just say 'oh, it's a phone video' or soemthing along those lines. Megadeth fans are delusional anyway.

Ouch. Got to watch a few videos of this and genuinely had to keep my head down home alone almost as if I were really there and I didn't want to see other people's reactions out of embarrassment.

This is so disgraceful, I feel bad for the guy. I'd rather see him de-electrify, grab the acoustic and quit shredding, because Yngwie he is not. Applaud him for trying but it's like the American Idol contestant who was told by their family that they really could sing and to go and give it a shot...the same probably happened here where it got into his head somehow from a close friend or business partner that he could pull it off.

Sorry Dave, swing and a miss.

Apparently there were huge feedback and static problems which drowned out a lot of his notes, but even if that's correct, that doesn't excuse playing out of time and playing so loud you drown out the orchestra.

Then shouldn't they still be fired on the spot?

Amen. Although the shittiness of this is really Dave's fault, not theirs.

I don't know, I feel like a decent PR person would try and cover that up. At some point you'd want to cut your losses and forget the event even happened. With that said, I agree with everything said....that was some truly abhorrent playing.

It won't actually be a PR person though, it'll be a "webmaster". It'll just be a guy hired to handle online shit.

That's a great point. Some bands I've talked to seem to combine the jobs, but for a band as large as Megadeth I can see it functioning in a more segmented manner.

I just can't (or don't want to, I guess) imagine someone heard that and thought it was worth sharing, but I guess its their job.

We've all come to the conclusion that he's a little crazy, maybe Mustaine heard it and thought it was incredible. The webmaster was probably just doing what he was told and what he's paid to do.
