Y&T -- Cranston, RI -- April 8th, 2014

Night #3. 1150 Oak Bar & Grill. Cranston, Rhode Island.

Due to both of my usual ways of accessing 93 south being closed (one for road work, one for a squashed pedestrian), it took the better part of 2 hours to get from Somerville to Cranston. I arrived just as the band was finishing up soundcheck. I knew this was going to be a good one simply because of the venue. It is fucking TINY. 150, maybe 175 capacity.

Performance wise, Dave & co. speak for themselves. 2 hours of nonstop, in your face rock n roll, played absolutely flawlessly.

This is kind of amazing that you are hitting all These Y&T shows-
are you up front/ do they recognize you or are you staying in the back?

I was in back for both Londonderry shows, but I met them in the parking lot beforehand, so they recognized me when I showed up at Rhode Island.

That'll probably be my final one for 2014 unless they add some more dates later in the year. I'd go pretty much anywhere within a reasonable driving distance to see them. One of the most, if not the most, underrated rock band ever.
