Kataklysm -- Montreal, Quebec -- April 4th, 2014

This was the second stop on the " Kill The Elite " spring tour.

I saw some of Mass Murder Messiah. I thought they were pretty decent.

Blinded By Faith were pretty good. They did a song in which they encouraged people to " twist ". Not twist one up but Chubby Checker style twist. The song was interesting to say the least. They were also pretty good.

My knowledge of Death Metal is somewhat limited. I have heard of Aborted previously, but I haven't listened to any of their recordings. They were great! Their sound was very crisp and quite clear. Heavy as hell! I don't know their country of origin, but the singer spoke French very well. Good time.

I haven't seen Kataklysm since 2012. They have always delivered sets with great energy and passion. They did not disappoint;

Prevail
Push The Venom
Like Angels Weeping (The Dark)
Like Animals
As I Slither
At The Edge of The World
Taking The World By Storm
Blood Of The Swans
Fire
Blood In Heaven
Let Them Burn (The fire alarm went off and the PA stopped working. Ironic.)
Kill The Elite
Iron Will
Elevate
In Shadows And Dust
Crippled And Broken

Encore;

The Road To Devastation ( with Max on Drums )

They played about 85 minutes.

I may have the middle of the set mixed up, but I got all the beginning and end correct.

I didn't study the merch. There were a few different T-shirts, CDs, and winter hat. Aborted also had T-shirts.

If this bill rolls through your town and you miss it, you will regret it!

Wish I could've made it, still haven't seen Aborted and I think Kataklysm kills it live. Show sold out, which is nice for the bands and venue.

Saw the show in Toronto last night. I'm pretty sure they're just going with local bands to play before Aborted.

hellawaits next time you want to go to a show in Montreal let me know. I could have gotten you a ticket.

Strange, they sold out when the balcony was closed?
