I HAD to pick 7 in the poll. It was the one that I started with, the one I've spent most of my time on and still play to this day.... just so many great memories. VIII is a close second!

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates
Japanese Release Date: August 23rd, 2007
North American Release Date: March 11th, 2008
Original Platform: Nintendo DS

I didnít even know that the first Crystal Chronicles had spawned a series of six games until I started researching for this thread. John the Drummer says theyíre not very good. Since heís my west-coast doppelganger I trust his opinion.

Gameplay Demo: who knows

Final Boss: Great Galdes

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
Japanese Release Date: September 13th, 2007
North American Release Date: March 25th, 2008
Original Platform: Playstation Portable

Something tells me I may actually like this game. It looks to be a prequel leading right up to the events of Final Fantasy VII. However, I liked Zack being that unknown factor in VII. So I don't think I want to know more about his story. I think it's time to let Final Fantasy VII rest in peace.

I have a bit of the soundtrack on my iTunes and it's really good, mixing acoustic dirges (like Red Dead Redemption) with straight up METAL!!!!

Best Song: Moonlight Wandering
Gameplay Demo: not sure, but good graphics for a handheld

Final Boss: Genesis Rhapsodos (he has a red sword...that's actually pretty cool)

I always wanted to play Crisis Core, it doesn't look too bad, and yes, the graphics, especially that CGI part, looked GREAT for a handheld. Not sure about the battle system, but I am sure it plays out OK.

Final Fantasy IV: the After Years
Japanese Release Date: February 18th, 2008
North American Release Date: June 1st, 2009
Original Platform: Mobile Phone
Rereleased on: Wii Ware, Playstation Portable

I really should play this game since it’s the sequel to one of my favorite games of all-time. But it’s on systems I don’t own and I’m not spending a few hundred dollars to play one game.

Gameplay Demo: I'd imagine this is near the end of the game. I'm not sure why Ultros is there? I guess he was pissed that there's never been any sort of sequel to FFVI too.

Plus, so many games that not many people played or just weren't that memorable. Seems like they just tried to milk the series after FFX and do everything possible to put their brand on something, like KISS.

I don't think North Americans realize just how HUGE this series is in Japan.
