This was a great rock 'n roll show, if you like your rock on the hard side. Except for the opening act, that is. Keith Emerson opened the show with a little bit of art rock. I have listened to my share of ELP, but I must admit I am not a big fan. I think that Keith was not a good choice as an opening act on this tour. Most of the crowd did not "get it." I don't have the full set list but I know they played "Hoedown," most of "Tarkus" and "Fanfare for the Common Man."

Tesla hit the stage and really rocked the house. This was the second time that I was able to catch Tesla this year and they were excellent both times. I know most heavy metal fans moan about the ballads, but Tesla can jam with the best of them. "Heaven Nine Eleven" and "Modern Day Cowboy" were the highlights of this show. They played part of Foghat's "I Just Want to Make Love To You" before transitioning into "Signs" and it sounded pretty good. All in all it is good to have them touring again.

The Scorpions always put on a good show and they did not disappoint on this night. They started the show with two new songs and played four off of Unbreakable in total. All of the new songs sounded great live and were well received by the crowd. The rest of the show was made up of the usual hits with no real surprises, but it is hard to argue with the songs played. They shook the set list up on their last two tours when they were not supporting a new CD. The highlights for me were the new songs, "Loving You Sunday Morning" and, of course, "Blackout."
