first time i saw unearth in 2000, they were first on a bill with hope conspiracy, earth crisis (slither era), headlined by converge because they got stuck in traffic (and i left before them because i was a moron)

first time i saw killswitch was in 2002 two months before AOJB came out, they played 3rd after 2 locals, followed by god forbid, diecast, shai hulud

The first time I saw Unearth was sometime in 2001, but racking my brain now I can't remember if it was with Bane & Adamantium (Adamantium's last tour was around this time) or if it was with Throwdown (who were touring nonstop during that period). I hadn't heard of them, but I had a couple friends who were obsessing mad over The Stings of Conscience.

Unearth's live performance was OK, but I thought they improved substantially when I saw them again some years later after III In the Eyes of Fire was released.

To me the most unexpected name on the flier is Crowbar.

Knuckledust is the UK band, right?

So.... they were metalcore bands that came up playing shows with hardcore bands....

Using the logic of the promoters in 10 years deathcore bands will be headlining MDF because Suicide Silence toured with Carcass once.

Saw both in 2003, KSE was direct support for a Boysetsfire show/DVD shoot. Unearth played a VFW hall with Lamb of God, Every Time I Die, All Else Failed, Nora, A Life Once Lost, Twelve Tribes, The Minor Times, and I forget who else.

Stupid question: What's a VFW Hall? Wikipedia just gives me some stuff about the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and I don't want to read through that entire thing to see if they're related. Also, i'm supposed to be doing work.

That's what it is.

A lot of VFW Halls are like community centers.

Hardcore kids have a raging hard-on for Crowbar. Not that surprising.
